I grew up being the biggest tomboy. I always played sport at school, and I learnt kickboxing at the age of 10 and joined the gym when I was 16. I have to admit, though, diet is probably the hardest part of maintaining a healthy balance. I guess it all comes down to HOW MUCH you want to reach your goal.
One major goal I have achieved was winning my boxing bout on LIVE TV in front of an audience of over 5,000 people. I can’t tell you how incredible that felt. Winning didn’t come easy though; I trained five days a week for hours on end. It was the same for the bodybuilding competitions I entered in 2016, in the bikini division, where I placed second in my class for New Zealand and third in Australia.
Boxing and bodybuilding are two very different activities that involve different types of training and diets. One similarity both sports have, though, is the importance of mental and emotional strength.
